University Student Commons and Activities sponsor June blood drives on both campuses. The Monroe Park Campus drive will be on Wednesday, June 25, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the University Student Commons. The MCV Campus drive will be on Thursday, June 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Larrick Student Center. Walk-ins are welcome or make an appointment by visiting the website below. All blood benefits Virginia Blood Services and stays in central Virginia.

'Farm Fresh: Summer Flavor with Slow Food RVA'

The Anderson Gallery hosts a farmers' market celebration in the gallery's courtyard for happy hour with locally grown, seasonal produce and Richmond food cart favorites. Pizza Tonight will be on site selling pies from its mobile wood-burning pizza oven. The Richmond Indigenous Gourd Trio will be playing their unique brand of music in the gallery's lounge. Local brews will be served at the cash bar.

Friendship Partners for Visiting Scholars
The Global Education Office seeks friendship partners for 11 international visiting scholars with the 2014-2015 Hubert Humphrey Fellowship Program, a State Department program for global professionals in the field of drug and alcohol prevention, education and treatment. These fellows will be pursuing professional development through VCU's Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies. Partners and scholars meet monthly for dinner or another activity during the 2014-2015 academic year.

Do You Have Low Back Pain?
Are you between the ages of 18 and 50 and having an episode of low back pain? If you have had pain for more than 24 hours, but less than 4 weeks, and is not due to a specific cause such as a herniated disk, you may qualify. We are currently recruiting participants for a research study to evaluate pain sensitivity during an episode of acute low back pain.
