BlackGrounds is a new lecture series co-presented by VCUarts Department of Art History and the ICA at VCU. The series will explore how artists from Africa explore the global and local themes. This workshop will use Rafael Domenech’s exhibition "The Medium is the Massage" as an invitation to local artists and students to explore the ways in which writing can be generative to production of artworks.
