IExcel is accepting applications now for its new Diversity and Inclusion Facilitator Training, led by Tamisha Williams. Participants will reflect on identity, practice deep listening and discuss ways to address tension and conflict, among other core facilitation skills. VCU's Department of Craft and Material Studies will present a lecture by artist Humaira Abid at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. Abid’s turned and carved wood sculpture and paintings, known for their detail, depict human relationships, societal repression and the consequences of keeping basic truths from being discussed and shared. She is the recipient of the 2020 Bob Stocksdale International Excellence in Wood Award and 2021 Kayla Skinner Award from Seattle Art Museum. The Minority Political Leadership Institute is a collaborative initiative of the Grace E. Harris Leadership Institute at the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs and the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus. Neuroscience Interest Group To Host Brain Day

The Neuroscience Interest Group at VCU is seeking volunteers to help with Brain Day.
