Kuwaiti-born, Giza-based artist Ibrahim Ahmed will explore mythic narratives via photo collage, sculpture, video and large-scale installation in his first U.S. institutional exhibition. Ahmed draws inspiration in the working-class neighborhood of Ard El Lewa in Giza. The exhibit will be view at VCU's Institute for Contemporary Art, 601 W. Broad St., July 23- Nov. 7. VCU's Digital Sociology Lab will present its inaugural Summer Learning Series in three, six-hour sessions. These online courses, on popular digital data tools currently used by digital sociologists, are free to current VCU students. Submit Project Requests for Planning, Design, Construction and Renovation

Wearable Sensors for Tracking Tummy Time in Infants

Researchers in the Department of Physical Therapy are conducting a study to test the use of wearable sensors to track tummy time in infants. Full-term and preterm infants aged three to six months are invited to participate. Parents of enrolled infants will attach the sensors to their infant's clothing and record natural play for few hours each day at home for three days. Compensation will be provided. Participate in a Survey Study on Behavior Change Counseling

Are you a health-care clinician or student who practices or trains in Virginia? If so, then you are likely eligible to participate in a survey study conducted by faculty at VCU. We are interested in how health-care professionals have learned behavioral health counseling, specifically motivational interviewing.
