Wednesdays in the Workshop: Mini-Game Jam: Create Pixel-Based Games With Bitsy

Make a game in an hour. This mini-game jam covers the basics of the free, online pixel-based game engine Bitsy. The session will include a brief overview of all the basic functions but largely be driven by your questions as you create your own simple games. VCU Common Book Event – The Pipelines and the People: From Climate Crisis to Mass Movement

University College’s Common Book Program will host "The Pipelines and the People: From Climate Crisis to Mass Movement,” a lecture given by Kai Bosworth, Ph.D., assistant professor of international studies in the School of World Studies, in Room 303, James Branch Cabell Library Lecture Hall, 901 Park Ave. Bosworth will examine the role the new climate movement played in confronting the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines in the U.S. Great Plains, describing both where and why the movement succeeded as well as ran into limits. Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab.
