VCU's Department of Craft/Material Studies will present a lecture by glass artist Anna Mlasowsky, whose work has been included in the collections of the Corning Museum of Glass, the Toyama City Museum and the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. She is the recipient of the 2018 Aldo Bellini Award, the John and Joyce Price Award of Excellence and was a Museum of Art and Design Burk Prize finalist. Street Closures for the Monument Avenue 10K

VCU Facilities Management advises that street closures for the Monument Avenue 10K will have significant impact on the Monroe Park Campus on Friday, April 22, and Saturday, April 23. Roads in the center of campus will close on Friday at 5 a.m. and roads along the Franklin Street corridor will close at 1 p.m. The campus can be accessed via Cary and Main Streets. Recruiting Now for TEENS, a Virtual Weight-Management Research Program for 12-16-Year-Olds

Are you concerned about your teen’s weight? We can help. TEENS is a research program that includes a four-month family-based lifestyle intervention - all conducted virtually - for teens ages 12 to 16 who are overweight or obese. The program is offered by Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. It includes weekly, virtual group classes for teens and parents that cover topics such as healthy eating, physical activity and goal-setting. Teens also participate in live exercise sessions conducted online by personal trainers.
