Faculty/staff Issue for April 7, 2022

Special Announcement

Broad Street Construction Project To Start April 11

On April 11, the city of Richmond will embark on gateway and corridor improvements along Broad Street which will include construction along Broad Street from Hamilton to Laurel streets and paving from Third Street to just west of Staples Mill Road. There will be intermittent travel lane, parking lane and sidewalk closures during the project. Paving will be a 24-hour operation, starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday and ending at 6 p.m. on Friday, with lane closures limited during morning and evening peak hours. At least one lane of traffic will remain open in each direction. Many GRTC buses, including the Pulse, will be detoured off Broad Street. View the GRTC impacts at http://ridegrtc.com/news-initiatives/news-updates/broadrepaving. Impacts to VCU parking facilities and RamRide are not expected. Be mindful of lane closures and potential delays to your commute related to construction. View additional information related to the project online at https://www.richmondgov.com/public-works/broad-street-project.
