Research Study on Two Stress-Reduction Programs

We are seeking to enroll participants for a research study on two stress-reduction programs. Participants will receive a 14-day smartphone-based stress-reduction course free of charge. Study includes a lab session before and after the stress-reduction course wherein participants will fill out brief surveys and complete several brief tasks during fNIRS neuroimaging. … Ready, SET, Health. Researchers at VCU are looking for young women interested in changing their diet and physical activity routine to enroll in a new study. Eligible participants will receive a free program designed to help them meet their goals for healthy living. The study requires two in-person data collection visits (one before the program and one after), but the entire four-month program is conducted completely online.

Filipino American Heart Health Study

Youssef Roman, Pharm.D., Ph.D., of VCU's School of Pharmacy is conducting an epidemiological study to assess the prevalence and causes of heart diseases in Filipino Americans. This study is for those who consider themselves Filipino with both biological parents of Filipino heritage. The study is funded by VCU's C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research.
