Imani Winds – Mary Anne Rennolds Chamber Music Series

VCU Music will welcome the Imani Winds to the Mary Anne Rennolds Chamber Music Concert Series. The concert will be in Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall, W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. Celebrating over 20 years of music making, the Grammy-nominated Imani Winds has led both a revolution and the evolution of the wind quintet through their dynamic playing, adventurous programming, imaginative collaborations and outreach endeavors that have inspired audiences of all ages and backgrounds. The ensemble’s playlist embraces traditional chamber music repertoire, and as a 21st century group, Imani Winds is committed to expanding the wind quintet repertoire by commissioning music from new voices that reflect historical events and the times in which we currently live. 25th Annual Graduate Research Symposium: Call for Submissions

Submissions are being accepted to the 25th Annual Graduate Research Symposium and Exhibit. This event was created to give graduate students the opportunity to share their learning experiences and research with other graduate students from all disciplines. At each symposium, graduate students present their original research and creative projects to faculty, staff, students and community members. Student participants are required to have a research poster to present on the day of the symposium. The top three posters will receive a monetary award. Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study.
