VCU Libraries' Common Book Film Series: 'Frankenstein'

The 1994 film version of Mary Shelley’s "Frankenstein" stars Kenneth Branaugh, Helena Bonham Carter and Robert De Niro. It tells the well-known story of Victor Frankenstein, a doctor obsessed with bringing the dead back to life. The discussion after the film will be led by Focused Inquiry professor Carver Weakley and Public Affairs Research Librarian Nia Rodgers. RamBikes Thrift Store Tour

Migrant Detention Gala Dinner and Art Auction

Students Together Assisting Refugees will host a gala dinner and art auction to raise money for migrants being held at the detention center in Bowling Green. Smoking Reduction Study for African American Menthol Smokers
Adults who smoke menthol cigarettes and identify as Black/African American are invited to participate in a study that involves electronic cigarette use for six weeks to reduce their smoking. Participants must be willing to visit the study site, receive phone calls, and respond to texts/surveys. Compensation is provided. Principal investigators are Andrew Barnes, Ph.D., Health Behavior and Policy Department, and Caroline Cobb, Ph.D., Psychology Department.
