Migrant Detention Gala Dinner and Art Auction

Students Together Assisting Refugees will host a gala dinner and art auction to raise money for migrants being held at the detention center in Bowling Green. The gala, in Richmond Salons I and II, University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave., is free to attend. Food will be catered by Noorani Kabob. RamBikes Maintenance 101

No mechanical experience is necessary for this workshop for all bicycle commuters. This introductory workshop offered by RamBikes, 1106 W. Broad St., will cover parts of the bicycle and how to discuss them with your mechanic, sights and sounds that indicate a problem and routine maintenance. Pamunkey Reservation and Museum Tour

Recreation and Well-Being Basic Life Support With First Aid Blending Learning Training
Basic Life Support with First Aid Training is intended for health care providers responding to breathing and cardiac emergencies in various settings. Course skills specialize in CPR/AED and first aid along with communication and adaptability, which are crucial during an emergency response. This blended learning course contains a combination of digital and in-person instruction. Participants can choose one of the in-person sessions taking place on Nov. 8, 15 or 29. Do You Smoke Tobacco Cigarettes?

Black Love Safe Love
This is a research study aiming to receive feedback on a sexual health intervention designed for couples. To be eligible to participate, you have to identity as Black or African American and be 18 to 35 years of age. The study requires participation in a 120-minute session and completion of a questionnaire. Compensation is available.

Enrolling Now for TEENS, a Virtual Weight-Management Research Program for 12-16-Year-Olds
Are you concerned about your teen’s weight? We can help. TEENS is a research program that includes a four-month family-based lifestyle intervention - all conducted virtually - for teens ages 12 to 16 who are overweight or obese. The program is offered by Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. It includes weekly, virtual group classes for teens and parents that cover topics such as healthy eating, physical activity and goal-setting. Teens also participate in live exercise sessions conducted online by personal trainers.
