Art for Hearts - A Free, Community-Based Research Program for Women Aged 18 and Older Exploring Mental and Physical Health Through Painting

VCU Health Hub wants to learn how painting and expressing your thoughts and feelings could help mental health and blood pressure in Black women. Open to women ages 18+. This is an eight-part, eight-week program. Participants will be free to paint, talk, share with others and be given tools to take home to monitor blood pressure.

25th Annual Graduate Research Symposium: Call for Submissions

Submissions are being accepted to the 25th Annual Graduate Research Symposium and Exhibit. This event was created to give graduate students the opportunity to share their learning experiences and research with other graduate students from all disciplines. At each symposium, graduate students present their original research and creative projects to faculty, staff, students and community members. Submit research proposal abstracts by March 4 at https://forms.gle/etX8TRU7AenV5pXF7. Presentations must be in poster format. Student participants are required to have a research poster to present on the day of the symposium. The top three posters will receive a monetary award. Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study.
