Jason E. Bennett's 'Landscapes' Exhibit
7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Jason E. Bennett is an assistant professor with VCUarts, teaching in the Communication Arts Department. His "Landscapes" show, at Eric Schindler Gallery, 2305 E. Broad St., features paintings in oils, gouache and digital media completed primarily onsite in various locations throughout Richmond. The intent of the work is to study visual phenomena with paint - light, color, shape, texture and edges - and to appreciate the beauty of the ever-changing world.

VCU Symphony Concert To Feature 'Umoja, Anthem for Unity'
8 p.m.
VCU's Symphony Orchestra will perform a series of pieces including a feature of Valerie Coleman's "Umoja, Anthem for Unity" for the African refugees located in Richmond. The concert will be in Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall, W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. The performance will be free for all VCU students, staff and faculty members and will be livestreamed at the following URL.

Art for Hearts - A Free, Community-Based Research Program for Women Aged 18 and Older Exploring Mental and Physical Health Through Painting
Tuesday, Mar. 22, 2022 at 3 p.m.
VCU Health Hub wants to learn how painting and expressing your thoughts and feelings could help mental health and blood pressure in Black women. Open to women ages 18+. This is an eight-part, eight-week program. Participants will be free to paint, talk, share with others and be given tools to take home to monitor blood pressure.

VCU Human Resources and the VCU Staff Senate’s week-long "Together Everyone Achieves More (T.E.A.M)” career development series starts March 7 with a keynote presentation by author and corporate trainer Barbara Smith. Each session will offer opportunities for VCU staff to explore a variety of topics, network with peers and gain insights from VCU and regional leaders. Recreation and Well-Being (RecWell) Adult Swim Programs: Beginner/All Levels/Fitness Swimming
The second session of adult swim lessons will be offered March 14-April 7. All classes are held at Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center, 101 S. Linden St., and are open to all VCU students, RecWell members and non-members. Classes include beginner, intermediate/advanced and all levels. Filipino American Heart Health Study
Youssef Roman, Pharm.D., Ph.D., of VCU's School of Pharmacy is conducting an epidemiological study to assess the prevalence and causes of heart diseases in Filipino Americans. This study is for those who consider themselves Filipino with both biological parents of Filipino heritage. The study is funded by VCU's C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research.
