Have you ever felt like a failure? We all have! Learn how to fail forward and build resilience in this interactive, in-person workshop. Participants will leave with a toolkit for evaluating risk and concrete ways to explore healthy risk-taking. The session has been co-created by the da Vinci Center for Innovation and VCU's Department of Recreation and Well-Being (RecWell). The session will be at the center, 807 S. Cathedral Place. VCUarts Fashion Event, #PROCESS2022

VCUarts will present a runway show and expo hosted by the Department of Fashion Design + Merchandising. The free event, open to the public, will be at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, 200 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd. The runway show begins at 6 p.m. with an encore show at 7:15 p.m. This year’s annual event will feature original fashions by emerging designers and an immersive experience by rising merchandisers.

RamBikes Workshop Series: Chains and Shifting

RamBikes will host a workshop covering chains and shifting at 1106 W. Broad St. (near the intersection of Broad and Harrison streets) for anyone wanting to learn more maintenance and problem-solving. The event will cover in-depth chain maintenance and issues with gearing and shifting. The workshop will also cover common problems and fixes with shifters and derailleurs.

Extra Security Patrols During Finals
RMC Events security officers will conduct additional foot patrols around James Branch Cabell Library nightly until 3 a.m. Friday, May 13. VCU Police organized these patrols to enhance coverage on the Monroe Park Campus as students study for finals. Five RMC Events security officers also conduct mobile patrols on campus every night. Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab. Survey Assessing Aspects of Substance Use Disorder
Individuals over the age of 18 who have experiences with substance use disorders, including active users and those in recovery, are invited to participate in a preliminary research study. This study aims to assess the needs of the population who experiences SUD in order to better inform preclinical and clinical research done at VCU. The study is in the form of an anonymous survey, which can be found at the following URL. No compensation provided.
