Training for Avaya Workplace App
Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Telecommunications Services will be offering virtual training on the Avaya Workplace app, which allows customers to extend their office number to their remote work site. The Avaya Workplace app is geated for remote workers. Callers can reach remote workers on any device by calling their work telephone number, and when placing a call the caller party will see their work number and not their mobile number. Faculty Learning Community: 'The Multiplayer Classroom' Book Club
VCU's Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence will host a session using gamification principles to engage students and motivate learning. Ellen Carpenter and Thea Pepper will lead the event. Those who take part will read Lee Sheldon's "The Multiplayer Classroom: Designing Coursework as a Game" and participate in an asynchronous discussion board with other educators over the summer. The group will meet periodically during the fall semester to share strategies. Register at the following URL.

Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment
We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab.
