The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV) has issued its call for nominations for the 2023 Virginia Outstanding Faculty Awards. Twins, Triplets and More

The Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry is a group of twins and their families who are willing to consider taking part in twin-based, health-related research. MATR welcomes twins of any age, ethnicity and zygosity (identical or fraternal). All twins and triplets in the VCU community are invited to to register with MATR and to pass the registry's information on to any other twins.

Faculty/Staff Golf League

RecWell’s 2022 Faculty/Staff Golf League will be hosted at newly renovated Belmont Golf Course. The new site includes a driving range, 18-hole putting course and six-hole par-3 course. An end-of-season banquet will follow immediately after the last day of play. Costs include a $60 league fee, $45 weekly green and cart fee. A food and beverage discount will be available at the clubhouse. The league will be operational through July 27. Register at the following URL by Tuesday, June 7.

Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment

We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab. Individuals who smoke tobacco cigarettes daily are needed to participate in a research study that requires multiple laboratory visits. Compensation may be available.
