National Science Foundation Writing Workshop

First- and second-year graduate students in the non-health care STEM fields are eligible to apply for the fellowship, which provides up to three years of funding. Twins, Triplets and More

The Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry is a group of twins and their families who are willing to consider taking part in twin-based, health-related research. MATR welcomes twins of any age, ethnicity and zygosity (identical or fraternal). All twins and triplets in the VCU community are invited to to register with MATR and to pass the registry's information on to any other twins.

Patients With Painful Diabetic Neuropathy Are Invited To Participate in a Study of a Potential New Treatment

We are inviting male and female Type 2 diabetes patients with painful diabetic neuropathy ages 18-75 to participate in a research investigation of a new treatment to alleviate pain and examine its effects on pain perception. In addition to the new treatment, this study involves completing surveys and undergoing tests to evaluate perceptions of pain. Volunteers will be compensated for their time. Participants are only required to come once for the study. The study is conducted within the VCU Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab. Individuals who smoke tobacco cigarettes daily are needed to participate in a research study that requires multiple laboratory visits. Compensation may be available.
