West Broad Deck Subscribers To Relocate During Graduations
Upcoming high school graduations will create interruptions to parking. From May 23-25, June 10 and June 14-16, all West Broad Street Deck subscribers will relocate to the West Cary Street Deck, 1101 W. Cary St.; Jefferson Street Deck, 100 S. Jefferson St.; or Henry Street Decks (East/West), 200 and 201 Henry St.
A dedicated shuttle service will be provided by Parking and Transportation from May 23-25, June 10 and June 14-16 to transport subscribers to and from the West Cary Street Deck and Jefferson Street Deck. RamSafe shuttles will run on a continuous loop to and from the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, Harrison and Franklin Streets, Franklin and Laurel Streets and Shafer and Franklin Streets from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Transportation requests outside of these hours can be made by placing a ride request through the RamSafe service at 828-SAFE (7233) or using the RamSafe mobile app.
Reciprocal parking will not be permitted on the West Broad Street Deck from May 23-25, June 10 and June 14-16. MCV Campus subscribers may park on the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck or Henry Street Decks (East/West).

VCU's Global Education Office and the National Scholarship Office will jointly sponsor an informational session for the Fulbright Scholar Program. Facts and Faith Fridays To Feature Rashida Gray, M.D.
3 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Psychiatrist Rashida Gray, M.D., will join the Rev. F. Todd Gray, Rudene Mercer Haynes and Robert A. Winn, M.D., to discuss mental health lessons for faith leaders. Gray treats a wide variety of psychiatric conditions, with a special focus on mood and anxiety disorders. The program will also include a Myth Buster segment addressing vaping, hosted by Mignonne C. Guy, Ph.D. Guy is a member of the Cancer Prevention and Control research program at Massey Cancer Center and associate professor and chair of the Department of African American Studies at VCU. 'And, Ain't I a Mother?' Art Exhibition Opening Reception
Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Join Nicole Corley, Ph.D., social work assistant professor, for the opening reception of an art exhibition exploring Black motherhood through collage, "And, Ain't I a Mother?" The exhibit, at The Anderson Gallery, 907 1/2 W. Franklin St., runs through June 4 and is tied to a research project of the same name Corley co-leads on the beauty, vulnerability and strength of Black mothers and the institution of Black motherhood. The collages are the work of the 26 Black mothers who participated in the project.

NIH program officer Raushanah Newman will advise faculty at a virtual workshop about applying for the NIH Diversity Supplement. This supplement is available to faculty with NIH research grants that have three-plus years remaining. The grant mechanism provides additional funding and the opportunity to help diversify the biomedical workforce. John Ryan, Ph.D., a successful VCU applicant, will provide additional guidance. Volunteers Sought for Ultrasound Study
Wednesday, Jun. 1, 2022 at 8 a.m.
There is a potentially useful technique measuring blood flow on ultrasound as a way to noninvasively identify extremity compartment syndrome (dangerously elevated pressures in arms or legs). VCU's Dept. of Emergency Medicine plans to perform a study to investigate this hypothesis with 25 healthy volunteers. The study will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. Test Pattern 03: Moor Mother at ICA
Friday, Jun. 3, 2022 at 7 p.m.
Moor Mother will reunite with Richmond musician Ohbliv, one of the producers on her debut studio album "Fetish Bones," for a live musical performance. The free event will be at the Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. They will be joined by Philadelphia-based artists Vitche-Boul Ra and justmadnice, and local cellist Elijah Hall. A conversation with artist and VCU professor Caitlin Cherry will follow.
