Applications Available for Program on Creating Interprofessional Readiness for Complex and Aging Adults

The Virginia Geriatric Education Center, housed in VCU’s Virginia Center on Aging, is accepting applications for its annual faculty and clinicians development program. CIRCAA is a case-based, interprofessional learning experience that creates age-friendly practitioners who are knowledgeable of person-centered care. Participants Are Invited For Study Examining Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Exercise

This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have PTSD or symptoms of PTSD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of PTSD symptoms on blood vessel function during acute exercise and following exercise training. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal Investigator is Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.

Online Study for Black/African American Menthol Smokers

You are invited to participate in an online study if you are: age 18 or older, smoke menthol cigarettes, identify as Black/African American and willing to complete a 30-minute online survey about tobacco flavor regulations. The principal investigators are Andrew Barnes, Ph.D., VCU Department of Health Behavior and Policy, and Caroline Cobb, Ph.D., VCU Department of Psychology.
