Training on the Avaya Workplace App

In the coming months VCU Telecommunications Services will offer virtual training on the Avaya Workplace app, which allows customers to extend their office number to their remote work site. The Avaya Workplace app is geared for remote workers. Callers can reach remote workers on any device by calling their work telephone number, and when placing a call the caller party will see their work number and not their mobile number. The sessions are open to all VCU and VCU Health. Register at the following URL.

Three Finalists Chosen for VCU's Cabell First Novelist Award

The three finalists have been selected for VCU's Cabell First Novelist Award. The finalists are "Hades, Argentina" by Daniel Loedel (Riverhead Books), "The Five Wounds" by Kirstin Valdez Quade (W.W. Norton) and "The Final Revival of Opal and Nev" by Dawnie Walton (Simon & Schuster). Congratulations to the finalists and a big thank-you to all our volunteer readers. The winner will be announced toward the end of June.

Twins, Triplets and More

The Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry is a group of twins and their families who are willing to consider taking part in twin-based, health-related research. MATR welcomes twins of any age, ethnicity and zygosity (identical or fraternal). All twins and triplets in the VCU community are invited to to register with MATR and to pass the registry's information on to any other twins.

Do You Smoke Tobacco Cigarettes?

Individuals who smoke tobacco cigarettes daily are needed to participate in a research study that requires multiple laboratory visits. Compensation may be available. This study will be conducted at VCU. Principal investigator id Alison Breland, Ph.D., Department of Psychology.
