The VCU Police Department will host a safety and bicycle U-Lock table at the Compass, 828 Park Ave. VCU students, faculty and staff can receive a free U-Lock (show valid VCU ID) and instructions on how to register their bicycle. A limited supply of U-Locks will be provided. Follow VCU Police on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for future U-Lock giveaway dates.

'To Tell It Like It Is: A Teach-In'

VCU's Common Book Program and the Department of African American Studies will host "To Tell It Like It Is: A Teach-In" around this year's Common Book, "The Organ Thieves." The event, at the Commons Plaza by the Ram Horns, will feature speakers who will discuss Richmond’s history and give an accounting of the steps Richmonders are taking to disrupt systemic racial and health inequities in RVA. Student organizations will also table to provide more information about how to become involved.
