VCU's da Vinci Center will host free intellectual property clinics with lawyers from Nixon Peabody Tuesday-Friday, July 12-15. The clinics, to be at Shift Retail Lab, 1235 W. Broad St., will be individual or team meetings open to students, faculty, staff and the public. Questions will be addressed about patents, branding, trademarks, copyright or forming a corporation for a project. Register at the following URL.

Art for Hearts Study: Free Community-Based Research Program for Women Exploring Mental and Physical Health Through Painting
Tuesday, Jul. 26, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Equity in Cardiovascular Health Outcomes Lab will hold an Art for Hearts study at the VCU Health Hub at 25th, 1330 N 25th St., Suite A. The study is an eight-part, eight-week program which explores how painting and expressing your thoughts and feelings could help mental health and blood pressure in Black women.

Seeking First-Generation Alumni Participants
All VCU alumni who identify as first-generation are sought for participation in a research study about the experiences and perceptions of first-generation alumni in relation to alumni engagement and the value of the alumni network. The study will involve a 60-90 minute interview and potentially a follow-up focus group. Participants will receive a $10 Starbucks gift card. Contact the following email address by July 15.

Twins, Triplets and More
The Mid-Atlantic Twin Registry is a group of twins and their families who are willing to consider taking part in twin-based, health-related research. MATR welcomes twins of any age, ethnicity and zygosity (identical or fraternal). All twins and triplets in the VCU community are invited to to register with MATR and to pass the registry's information on to any other twins.
