Any Positive Change
Thursday, Jul. 21, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Rams In Recovery will present Any Positive Change, a harm reduction skills and support group facilitated by a peer recovery specialist. This group is geared for VCU students and alumni who are interested in making positive changes to their drinking and/or substance use by reducing negative consequences or through moderation. This space is designed for participants to reflect on their relationship to substances in a judgment-free zone. Virtual weekly meetings will be held on Thursdays through Aug. 11.

Social Justice and Open Education: Join Colleagues for a Watch Party of Open Education Network Summit
Tuesday, Jul. 26, 2022 from noon to 4:30 p.m.
Colleagues from VCU and across the commonwealth are invited to explore the relationship between social justice and education. VCU Libraries, VCU CTLE and The Virtual Library of Virginia will host a watch party of the 2022 Open Education Network Summit. The event, in Room 303, James Branch Cabell Library, 901 Park Ave., will stream two sessions focused on social justice and open education and offer time in between for discussion. Art for Hearts Study - Free Community-Based Research Program for Women Exploring Mental and Physical Health Through Painting
Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
VCU's Equity in Cardiovascular Health Outcomes Lab will hold the Art for Hearts study, starting Tuesday, Aug. 9 from 4-6 p.m. at the VCU Health Hub at 25th, 1330 N 25th St., Suite A. The study is an eight-part, eight-week program about how painting and expressing thoughts and feelings could help mental health and blood pressure in Black women.
