Deep Stretch With Jess
Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022 from noon to 12:30 p.m.
This virtual in-person exercise session is presented by VCU HR and VCU RecWell. A slower 30-minute practice focused on active stretching of muscles and opening of connective tissue. Release built-up tension, prevent injury, increase blood flow to muscles and increase long-term flexibility. No equipment requirements, though a yoga mat is recommended. Summer 2022 Final Grades Due Aug. 16 at Noon
Grade sheets are now available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon on Tuesday, Aug. 16 at which time grade entry will no longer be available. It is imperative to meet this deadline to complete all end-of-semester processes. Faculty may choose to use the feature to upload grades from an Excel file into eServices. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned.

Academic English Support Courses for International Graduate Students

Rammalogues Will Host Four Sessions To Discuss 'The Organ Thieves'
Rammalogues, a facilitated discussion series that provides a braver and safer space to talk about social identity, will host four sessions on MCV Campus this fall. The VCU Common Book, "The Organ Thieves: The Shocking Story of the First Heart Transplant in the Segregated South," will be discussed. Rammalogues are free and readers are invited to join no matter where they are in the book. Registrants can pick up a free book from the Goodwin Research Laboratory front desk. Smoking Reduction Study for African American Menthol Smokers
Adults who smoke menthol cigarettes and identify as Black/African American are invited to participate in a study that involves electronic cigarette use for six weeks to reduce their smoking. Participants must be willing to visit the study site, receive phone calls and respond to texts/ surveys. Compensation is provided. Primary investigators are Andrew Barnes, Ph.D., Health Behavior and Policy Department, and Caroline Cobb, Ph.D., Psychology Department.
