Zoë Charlton: Visiting Artist Lecture
Thursday, Oct. 20, 2022 at noon
VCU's Department of Painting and Printmaking will present a lecture by artist Zoë Charlton, a professor at George Mason University. She creates figure drawings, collages, installations and animations that depict her subject’s relationship to culturally loaded objects and landscapes. Charlton's work has been included in national and international exhibitions, including The Delaware Contemporary (Wilmington), Studio Museum of Harlem (New York) and Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. She received a Pollock-Krasner grant in 2012. The lecture will be in Room 535, Bowe Street Parking Deck, 609 Bowe St.

Refugee Gala Dinner and Art Auction

Calling all VCU Arts Students: Do you have a passion for art and for helping your community? Students Together Assisting Refugees (STAR) at VCU is hosting a fundraising gala to raise money for refugees living in detention centers. Donating an art piece will give you the chance to have your art piece displayed and auctioned at the gala dinner. All money raised from the auction will be donated. The 2022 campaign season has begun and is celebrating 25 years of giving and volunteerism. CVC is the only annual workplace giving program for the Commonwealth’s workforce and offers employees approximately 700-plus screened charities to support. Recreation and Well-Being Power Hour - Session Two
