Think Ahead: Using DegreeWorks to Plan Your Degree

Student Success Technologies and Records and Registration will co-host a session for all VCU students on using the Student Educational Planner feature in DegreeWorks. DegreeWorks is VCU's official degree-tracking software in which students count down remaining classes until graduation. The feature can also be used to create an individual plan. New Workshop Series for Undergraduate Humanities Students

New VCU Libraries sessions are geared for undergraduates in the humanities, including students studying English, gender, sexuality, women’s studies, history, philosophy and world studies. The IVY (In Recovery) Lab (Principal Investigator Caitlin E. Martin, M.D.) housed in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the School of Medicine, is seeking a lab coordinator. Recreation and Well-Being Staff Training Hours Aug. 18 and 19
RecWell facilities will have shortened hours on Thursday, Aug. 18 and Friday, Aug. 19 for staff training. The Cary Street Gym and MCV Campus Recreation Center will be closed between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. both days.

Recreation and Well-Being Pick Up and Play
RecWell Pick Up and Play is a new program where students can stop by Cary Street Gym, 101 S. Linden St., to play their favorite activities or learn new ones. Volleyball, dodgeball and basketball will be offered on select Fridays from 4-7 p.m. Activities are monitored by RecWell staff but are not officiated, scheduled or scored. There are no standings or playoffs. Learn more at the Kickoff event on Aug. 19.

eServices Is Getting a New Look on Aug. 19
VCU's eServices will get a new look and feel for financial aid, student accounting, faculty services, student and personal information, finance, and human resources on Friday, Aug. 19. Updates will include: enhanced functionality that expands and supports VCU's Call Me By My Name initiative, including name of use on class lists for faculty; cleaner and easier navigation; and improved transparency of processes. Users may experience system downtimes between 6-7 pm on Aug. 19 as the upgrade occurs.

Do You Vape Electronic Cigarettes?
Individuals who vape/use electronic cigarettes daily are needed to participate in a research study that requires multiple laboratory visits. Compensation will be provided. This study will be conducted at VCU. Principal Investigator is Alison Breland, Ph.D., Department of Psychology.
