"Gross Indecency" by Moisés Kaufman is a thrilling courtroom drama based on the true events surrounding the downfall of celebrated poet and playwright Oscar Wilde in Victorian England. Kaufman uses trial transcripts, personal correspondence, interviews and other source materials to tell the story of the 1895 trials that resulted in Wilde's arrest and imprisonment for the crime of sodomy. The Virginia Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) has updated its Policy 4.20 – Family and Medical Leave (FMLA) applicable to state employees, including all VCU faculty and staff. Effective Jan. 10, 2023, the policy changes the 12-month measurement period for determining eligibility for Family and Medical leave from the fixed 12-month period to a rolling 12-month period. A summary of this change: 12-month period for determining Family and Medical Leave Eligibility. Current: Amount of FMLA taken in the current fixed leave year Jan. 10-Jan. 9. New (effective Jan. 10, 2023): Amount of FMLA taken in the 12 months prior to the requested period of FMLA. Under the new policy, a new maximum period of FMLA eligibility will no longer become automatically available at the beginning of the leave year on Jan. 10. FMLA eligibility will be determined throughout the year by FMLA taken within the 12 months prior to the requested period of FMLA.
