Banner Services Outage
From 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 to approximately 12 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, Banner will be unavailable while it is being migrated into the cloud, and several other related online systems will be unavailable from 5 p.m. Dec. 2 to approximately 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9. This will affect many tasks regularly performed by students, faculty and staff. For example, you will be unable to enter grades, view or pay student bills, register for classes, view pay stubs and more. Faculty, students and staff are encouraged to plan accordingly. Rams in Recovery Speaker Series To Feature Melissa Febos

Rams in Recovery will host Melissa Febos as the final speaker of the group's monthly Recovery Speaker series. This is a virtual only event via Zoom. Melissa Febos is the best-selling author of four books. She is a Girlhood—LAMBDA Award finalist and winner of the National Book Critics Circle Award in Criticism. VCU's C. Kenneth and Dianne Wright Center for Clinical and Translational Research actively supports clinical research professionals entering the work force or transitioning career paths with the Certificate in Clinical Research. Are You Stressed? Participate in a Stress Reduction Study
The VCU Wellbeing Lab invites you to participate in a research study on two stress reduction programs for undergraduate students. Smoking Reduction Study for African American Menthol Smokers
Adults who smoke menthol cigarettes and identify as Black/African American are invited to participate in a study that involves electronic cigarette use for six weeks to reduce their smoking. Participants must be willing to visit the study site, receive phone calls and respond to texts and surveys. Compensation is provided. Primary investigators are Andrew Barnes, Ph.D., Department of Health Behavior and Policy, and Caroline Cobb, Ph.D., Department of Psychology.

Enrolling Now for TEENS, a Virtual Weight Management Research Program for 12-16 Year Olds
Are you concerned about your teen’s weight? We can help. TEENS is a research program that includes a four-month family-based lifestyle intervention - all conducted virtually - for teens ages 12 to 16 with overweight or obesity. The program is offered by Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU. It includes weekly, virtual group classes for teens and parents that cover topics such as healthy eating, physical activity and goal-setting. Teens also participate in live exercise sessions conducted online by personal trainers.

F.O.O.D. Study Seeks Black Students To Participate in an Online Study
The Furthering Our Understanding Of Diet study invites Black students to participate in one of two online surveys that seek to understand factors influencing their food choices. Students may participate in either of the two surveys. Study 1 takes 20-25 minutes to complete and Study 2 takes 30-35 minutes to complete.
