Come Play With the University Band
APPM 357 is open to all VCU students and faculty. All levels are accepted. If it has been a while since you played your instrument, come develop your skills in an inclusive and welcoming group. University Band practices every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 2-2:50 p.m.. The band performs one concert each semester and plays fun music that is not too stuffy.

The Queer Research and Advocacy Center (Q Collective) will present Q Symposium 2023: Policing Bodies on March 28-29. This second annual symposium will explore the forms of violence levied against trans/queer people that are central to liberal democracy and state power. Scholars/artists/activists are asked to explore these ideas from intersectional and/or transdisciplinary frames. F.O.O.D. Study Seeks Black Students To Participate in an Online Study
The Furthering Our Understanding Of Diet study invites Black students to participate in one of two online surveys that seek to understand factors influencing their food choices. Students may participate in either of the two surveys. Study 1 takes 20-25 minutes to complete and Study 2 takes 30-35 minutes to complete. Do You Dip or Use Smokeless Tobacco?

The VCU Wellbeing Lab invites you to participate in a research study on two stress reduction programs for undergraduate students. Ready, SET, Health! Researchers at VCU are looking for young women interested in changing their diet and physical activity routine to enroll in a new study. Eligible participants will receive a free program designed to help them meet their goals for healthy living. The study requires two in-person data collection visits (one before the program and one after), but the entire four-month program is conducted completely online.
