Leadership for Women of Color to Host Justice Cleo Powell

Powell will speak in the SGA Senate Chambers, University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. Powell is the first African-American female to serve on Virginia's highest Court and the fifth woman to serve on the Court. Hands-Only CPR - Health and Wellness Library Program

Interested in learning basic life-saving resuscitation skills? Apply by Jan. 30 for NASA's Summer Undergraduate Internship
NASA has collaborated with VCU's Rice Rivers Center and Hampton University to bring its Student Airborne Research Program to the East Coast. Current undergraduate juniors (rising seniors) are invited to apply to participate in a paid eight-week summer 2023 internship program that will run June through August. Rice Rivers Center will be one of the regional locations for site operations. Research on Parent Training for Military or Military-Connected Parents
VCU’s Rehabilitation Research and Training Center is conducting a study to evaluate the impact of a five-month parent training course. Eligible participants should be 18 years of age or older, be in, retired, on reserves or connected to the military and have a child between the ages of five and 11 who has autism and who exhibits challenging behavior.

A Study Examining Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Exercise
This study is seeking individuals between the ages of 18 and 35 years who have post-traumatic stress disorder or symptoms of PTSD. The purpose of this research study is to examine the effect of PTSD symptoms on blood vessel function during acute exercise and following exercise training. This study will be conducted at 500 Academic Centre on VCU’s Monroe Park Campus. Principal investigator is Ryan Garten, Ph.D., Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences.
