VCUarts Office of Inclusion and Equity To Present Panel of Four Black Comic Creators

'School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play' - This Weekend Only

"School Girls" is a biting comedy that follows Paulina and her squad of minions as they compete for the Miss Ghana pageant in 1986. According to a review by the New York Times, "The nasty-teen comedy genre emerges wonderfully refreshed and even deepened by its immersion in a world it never considered.” Performances will be through Sunday, Feb. 26 at W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. Department mainstages have been designed and built by theater undergraduate students. Tickets are $10 for VCU students, faculty and staff.

In Remembrance of Adam: Rams Against Hazing

VCU students, faculty and staff are invited to attend a hazing prevention and remembrance day for Adam Oakes in the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. The event will begin with a video premiere in the Commons Theater celebrating Adam's life and the importance of eliminating hazing. A Q&A session with the Oakes family will follow the video. Black Love Safe Love
This is a research study aiming to receive feedback on a sexual health intervention designed for couples. To be eligible to participate, you have to identity as Black or African American and be 18 to 35 years of age. The study requires participation in a 120-minute session and completion of a questionnaire. Amazon gift card compensation is available. Participation in this research study is voluntary.
