Avaya Workplace and MyE911 Apps

In the coming months VCU Telecommunications Services will offer virtual training on the Avaya Workplace and MyE911 apps, which allows customers to extend their office number to their remote work site. The Avaya Workplace app is ideal for remote workers. Callers can reach remote workers on any device by calling their work telephone number, and when placing a call the caller party will see their work number and not their mobile number. The sessions are open to all VCU and VCU Health.

Birthing Justice

Updated Annual Leave Policy for Veterans at VCU
As of Jan. 10, 2023 VCU HR provided enhanced leave accrual rates to veteran classified employees, in alignment with updates to DHRM’s Policy 4.10. VCU will also adjust the annual leave accrual rate for faculty and the university leave accrual rate for University and Academic Professionals in a similar manner. Eligible employees must supply DD-214 documentation for each period of military service to receive this benefit.

Call for Health Humanities Lab Undergraduate Fellows
The Humanities Research Center’s Health Humanities Lab is calling for applications for 2023-24 Health Humanities Undergraduate Fellows. In 2023-24, fellows will be participating in the East Marshall Street Well Project’s oral history and memorialization projects overseen by two postdoctoral fellows.
