Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training

Participants will learn a suicide first-aid model through presentations, interactive discussion and feature videos. Training will include opportunities for skills practice through trainer-facilitated work groups. No prior training or experience is needed. 'School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play'

"School Girls" is a biting comedy that follows Paulina and her squad of minions as they compete for the Miss Ghana pageant in 1986. According to a review by the New York Times, "The nasty-teen comedy genre emerges wonderfully refreshed and even deepened by its immersion in a world it never considered.” Performances will be Thursday, Feb. 23 through Sunday, Feb. 26 at W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. All department mainstages have been designed and built by theater undergraduate students. Tickets are $10 for VCU students, faculty and staff.

Film Screening and Discussion of 'The Arab Americans'
