Truth, Reckoning and Reconciliation: Nursing's Past, Present and Future

Katie Boston-Leary, Ph.D., RN, NEA-BC, director of nursing programs at the American Nurses Association, will discuss "nursism," racism and its role in the history of nursing. In Remembrance of Adam: Rams Against Hazing

VCU students, faculty and staff are invited to attend a hazing prevention and remembrance day for Adam Oakes in the University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. The event will begin with a video premiere in the Commons Theater celebrating Adam's life and the importance of eliminating hazing. A Q&A session with the Oakes family will follow the video. Film Screening and Discussion of 'The Arab Americans'

Free Documentary Screening: 'God Loves Uganda,' a Discussion About Global Gender and Sexuality Justice and Moral Politics

Recreation and Well-Being Women+ on Weights
RecWell offers Women+ on Weights, a biweekly small-group program open to women and non-binary/gender-nonconforming individuals. This six-week course is designed to teach participants the foundational methods of resistance training and workout design. RecWell personal trainers will utilize strength machines, resistance bands, cable stacks and free weights to build participants’ skill and knowledge of proper technique and progressions. Black Love Safe Love
This is a research study aiming to receive feedback on a sexual health intervention designed for couples. To be eligible to participate, you have to identity as Black or African American and be 18 to 35 years of age. The study requires participation in a 120-minute session and completion of a questionnaire. Amazon gift card compensation is available. Participation in this research study is voluntary.
