Free Documentary Screening: 'God Loves Uganda,' a Discussion About Global Gender and Sexuality Justice and Moral Politics

A Sociology Lab on Gender, Sexuality and Globalization Studies taught by Ying-Chao Kao, Ph.D., will present "God Loves Uganda," which explores the role of the American evangelical movement in Uganda when an anti-gay bill wins support. The screening will be moderated by research assistants Sarah Young Eleanor Northrup. The film will be shown in Room 203, Founders Hall, 827 W. Franklin St.

VCUarts and The Anderson will present an evening of live music, performance, sound and projections at an event celebrating time-based art. Come by The Anderson, 907 1/2 W. Franklin St., to check out the tactile art-based workshop, purchase prints and designs from students and build your own take-home contact mic. The event will take place on the top floor of The Anderson and in addition to Kinetic Imaging students, will also include projects from Graphic Design and Photo and Film students.

Join the Humanities Research Center in exploring how in Western modernity, time is often understood in progressive, linear terms, but these measures are increasingly incommensurate and insufficient to understand our contemporary timescape. Petro-time asserts that time itself has been compressed through millennia to become fossil fuels, and then burned, resulting in climate chaos. Black Love Safe Love
This is a research study aiming to receive feedback on a sexual health intervention designed for couples. To be eligible to participate, you have to identity as Black or African American and be 18 to 35 years of age. The study requires participation in a 120-minute session and completion of a questionnaire. Amazon gift card compensation is available. Participation in this research study is voluntary.
