Suit Yourself Closet out of VCU Career Services will host a pop-up shop for VCU students in the lobby of University Student Commons, 907 Floyd Ave. No appointment needed; students can take up to four free items to keep. The goal is to supply attire for the job search and workplace, including measuring and styling advice. Students should bring a valid VCU ID and a reusable bag. Path Forward For Palestine

VCU's School of World Studies will host Dana El Kurd. Ph.D., for a lecture. She is Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Richmond. She writes and researches about authoritarian regimes in the Arab world, state-society relations and the impact of international intervention. Her book, "Polarized and Demobilized: Legacies of Authoritarianism in Palestine," was published in 2020 by Oxford University Press. Recreation and Well-Being Aquatics Water Safety Instructor Certification
This course will prepare participants to plan and teach courses in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program. Courses include Preschool Aquatics, Learn-to-Swim and Safety Training for Swim Coaches. This blended learning course contains a combination of digital and in-person instruction. Online training must be completed prior to participating in the in-person skills sessions. Classes will be held May 23-June 8 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-4 p.m.
