Many of us have lists of resources to help students in difficult circumstances. This pilot project is headed by College of Humanities and Sciences Student Success Case Management Pilot Program social work interns. The aim is to pull together these individual resources to build a centralized, participatory, living database to share with faculty and staff. Informational Sessions: VCU's Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Clinical Research

VCU's post-baccalaureate certificate in clinical research supports clinical research professionals entering the workforce or transitioning career paths with and offers professional development for current clinical, allied health and research professionals. Applications are now being accepted for Summer and Fall 2023. REVIVE! Naloxone Lay Rescuer Training
Tuesday, Mar. 14, 2023 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Join Pharmacology and Toxicology Student Organization for a naloxone training through the "REVIVE! Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education" program. The training, in Room 200, VCU Health Sciences Research Building, 1112 E. Clay St., takes one hour and includes a presentation about opioids, overdose and how to respond in case of an emergency. Recruitment and Retention of Underrepresented Graduate Students

In honor of Women’s History Month, Suzanne Barbour, Ph.D., dean of Duke University’s Graduate School and former professor in VCU School of Medicine’s Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, will present her lecture on the impact of recruiting and retaining underrepresented graduate students. The event will be hosted by the Black Education Association and the School of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Skepticism Around Clinical Trials

Join "History and Health: Equitable Access to Care" for a virtual panel which will discuss how marginalized and multi-marginalized people in the United States (e.g., BIPOC and LGTBQIA+) are impacted by the history and procedures of clinical trials, how these experiences influence skepticism toward clinical trials and how to promote activism focused on outreach and awareness.
