The Stravitz-Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health will present a talk by Takanori Takebe, M.D., Ph.D., the endowed chair of organoid medicine and director of commercial innovation for Center for Stem Cell and Organoid Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and a professor at Osaka University and Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Takebe seeks to develop and apply novel approaches and tools to recapitulate, probe and manipulate human liver development and to understand the personalized molecular mechanisms that lead to disease. As of Jan. 10, 2023, VCU HR provided enhanced leave accrual rates to veteran classified employees in alignment with updates to the Department of Human Resource Management’s Policy 4.10. VCU will also adjust the annual leave accrual rate for faculty and the university leave accrual rate for University and Academic Professionals in a similar manner.
