GRTC Emergency Response Drill Set for Today, April 27

To prepare for the opening of a new, temporary Downtown Transfer Station, the GRTC Transit System is required to complete an emergency response drill. The drill is scheduled from 8 a.m. to noon today, Thursday, April 27, in a parking lot on the 800 block of East Clay Street near VCU's MCV Campus. Local emergency responders will simulate a situation which requires an immediate response to an emergency. The Richmond Police Department is participating. Community members are asked to follow any instructions to remain out of the drill area and permit the team to safely complete the exercise. There will be no impacts to the existing Transfer Station Plaza on Ninth Street.

Mindful Moms Program for Pregnancy

VCU School of Nursing's Mindful Moms Program invites those who are 12-26 weeks pregnant to participate in free prenatal yoga or education classes during their pregnancy. Mindful Moms is an NIH-funded study seeking to understand how to best enhance mental health and well-being during pregnancy. Black Love Safe Love

This is a research study aiming to receive feedback on a sexual health intervention designed for couples. To be eligible to participate, you have to identity as Black or African American and be 18 to 35 years of age.
