Extra Security Patrols During Finals
R.M.C. Security will conduct extra mobile and foot patrols in and around Cabell Library through Tuesday, May 9. This includes additional R.M.C. Security staff outside the library and on nearby blocks from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. daily through finals season. VCU Police officers patrol both of VCU’s campuses 24/7 and can be reached by calling (804) VCU-1234 at any time. Community members can also use the LiveSafe app to text with VCUPD dispatchers or send in safety tips.

Injury and Violence Prevention Research Lab
VCU's Injury and Violence Prevention Research Lab, based on the MCV Campus at VCU, is recruiting students for Summer 2023 and Fall 2023. Interns will have the opportunity to develop research and professional skills, clean and enter data and shadow data collection. The lab is headed by Nicholas Thomson, Ph.D., who is interested in biopsychosocial risk factors for violence, violence intervention and prevention, developmental psychopathology and forensic psychology. Black Love Safe Love
This is a research study aiming to receive feedback on a sexual health intervention designed for couples. To be eligible to participate, you have to identity as Black or African American and be 18 to 35 years of age. The study requires participation in a 120-minute session and completion of a questionnaire. Amazon gift card compensation is available. Participation in this research study is voluntary.
