Upcoming Campus Traffic Closures May 11-16
Beginning today, Thursday, May 11, through Tuesday, May 16, multiple streets around the Monroe Park Campus (between Belvidere and Harrison) will be closed as the city installs speed tables in the area. While installing the speed tables, the contractor will close one street at a time, starting with West Main and ending with West Franklin. The affected streets will be: Thursday, May 11, West Main between Madison and Monroe, between Pine and Laurel and between Cherry and Laurel; Friday, May 12, West Cary between Brunswick and Morris, between Harrison and Linden and between Cherry and Laurel; Monday, May 15, West Grace between Laurel and Shafer, between Shafer and Harrison and between Harrison and Ryland; and Tuesday, May 16, West Franklin between Shafer and Laurel. Open enrollment for the Commonwealth of Virginia’s health coverage and flexible spending plans is available through Monday, May 15. Eligible university faculty and staff may start or continue enrollment in flexible spending accounts, start or continue participation in premium rewards, and/or make changes to health coverage elections for the plan year that begins July 1. Google Sites Decommission
On Monday, May 15, the ability to create new Google Sites will no longer be available. Existing Google Sites will continue to be editable until June 2024. University-related sites and course-related sites should be moved or created in the appropriate university systems. Personal sites should be moved or created on non-university hosted platforms.

Spring 2023 Final Grades Due May 16 at Noon
Grade sheets are now available on faculty eServices. Grades are due by noon on Tuesday May 16, at which time grade entry will no longer be available. It is imperative to meet this deadline to complete all end-of-semester processes. Faculty may only access grade sheets for courses to which they have been assigned.

Recreation and Well-Being Summer Sweat Small Group Training Session 1
Learn the foundational methods of cardio and resistance training and program design with the Summer Sweat Series small group training. Each week participants will work with a certified trainer to learn about new equipment and exercises to build skill and knowledge of proper technique and progressions. Session 1 runs May 22-June 29, Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9-10 a.m. at Cary Street Gym, 101 S. Linden St. Register by May 24.

Black Love Safe Love
This is a research study aiming to receive feedback on a sexual health intervention designed for couples. To be eligible to participate, you have to identity as Black or African American and be 18 to 35 years of age. The study requires participation in a 120-minute session and completion of a questionnaire. Amazon gift card compensation is available. Participation in this research study is voluntary.
