VCU English professor Joshua Eckhardt, Ph.D., and interns Sarah Black, Paul Brennan, Kayleigh Dumont and Olivia Hudson will discuss British Virginia at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, 428 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd. This digital humanities project, which features rare books and documents from the museum's collections, reproduces editions of original documents about the Virginia Colony, primarily from the Virginia Company of London, to make them widely accessible and downloadable. Conservative Principles Are Good for Your Mental Health

Sean Campbell, former New Jersey Community Services Officer on the Council of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, will be speaking on mental health and how to promote good mental health. He will discuss issues within the mental health industry, relying on the government to fix the mental health crisis and how technology has effected mental health. VCU Opera and Symphony To Present Mozart's 'The Magic Flute'

VCU Opera and Symphony will present Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute" at the W.E. Singleton Center for the Performing Arts, 922 Park Ave. It concerns the search for truth and reason, love and enlightenment. As an allegory, the opera follows the adventures of Prince Tamino and the bird-catcher Papageno on their quest to rescue Pamina. Set in ancient Egypt, Mozart's masterpiece underscores childlike simplicity, emotional complexity, dark foreboding and hilarious comedy. The free production will also be performed at 4 p.m. April 30.

Black Love Safe Love
This is a research study aiming to receive feedback on a sexual health intervention designed for couples. To be eligible to participate, you have to identity as Black or African American and be 18 to 35 years of age. The study requires participation in a 120-minute session and completion of a questionnaire. Amazon gift card compensation is available. Participation in this research study is voluntary.
