VCUarts Department of Graphic Design will host its Senior Capstone Exhibition at its classroom studio, 822 W. Broad St. The event is the culmination of the semester's work toward the thesis project in the BFA program. The exhibit will be open to the public.

MATX To Present Free Screening of ‘Memoria’ (2021) at ICA Auditorium

Media, Art and Text will present a free screening of Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s award-winning film ‘Memoria,’ starring Tilda Swinton, at the ICA’s auditorium space. The screening will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Oliver Speck, Ph.D., (MATX); Sheree Chen (Cinema) and Josh Tyree (Cinema); and moderated by MATX Ph.D. student Dylan Lackey. Access: Fashion Event at VMFA

VCUarts Department of Fashion Design and Merchandising will host a fashion event at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, 200 N. Arthur Ashe Blvd. The event will feature creations by fashion design and merchandising students. A runway will be featured at 6 and 7:15 p.m. The event is free and non-seated. Parking is available at the VMFA.

ICA Live: Peni Candra Rini
Friday, May 19, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Master Javanese singer and composer Peni Candra Rini will perform new and experimental works for voice, electronics and gamelan in the ICA’s Royall Forum, in collaboration with Andy McGraw, Ph.D., Associate Professor and Chair of Music at the University of Richmond, and members of Gamelan Raga Kusuma. In this performance, Peni uses both traditional and experimental music and theater to present a modern interpretation of the myth of ocean goddess Nyai Rara Kidul. The performance will be at VCU's Institute for Contemporary Art at the Markel Center, 601 W. Broad St. RSVP at the following URL.

Butts Up With Behavioral Health Research Lab
