Recreation and Well-Being First Aid, CPR and AED Training - Blended Learning
Saturday, Jun. 24, 2023 at 9 a.m.
RecWell will offer the American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course, which prepares participants to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies. This course meets OSHA requirements for workplace CPR/AED and first aid training. Successful completion of this course provides participants with a certificate valid for two years. The class will be taught at the Cary Street Gym, 101 S. Linden St. Register at the following URL by June 16.

Recreation and Well-Being Beginner Adult Swim Lessons Summer Session 2
This class is open to individuals who are new to the aquatic environment and to those who want to become more independent in the water. Classes are taught by trained instructors in a small-group format. Session 2 classes will be held at Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center, 101 S. Linden St., Monday, July 10-Wednesday, Aug. 2, Monday and Wednesday, 6-7 p.m. Register by Wednesday, July 7 at noon.

Over the past year, VCU Human Resources has been leading Career Pathing @VCU. This goal of this initiative is to enhance career development opportunities at VCU by providing a menu of activities to help staff plan their future, enhance their knowledge and skills to master their current jobs and identify paths for promotions and internal job transfers. Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services Provides Trauma-Informed Training
VCU Equity and Access Services will host training by the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services through Thursday, June 15. The department will provide Trauma-Responsive Investigations and Sexual Assault Victim Interviews training to VCU's Title IX investigators and other participants from around the Commonwealth.
