Recreation and Well-Being Beginner Adult Swim Lessons Summer Session 2

This class is open to individuals who are new to the aquatic environment and to those who want to become more independent in the water. Classes are taught by trained instructors in a small-group format. Session 2 classes will be held at Cary Street Gym Aquatic Center, 101 S. Linden St., Monday, July 10-Wednesday, Aug. 2, Monday and Wednesday, 6-7 p.m. Register by Wednesday, July 7 at noon.

Join VCU's Outdoor Adventure Program for activities on the James River in July. Beginners whitewater kayaking will be offered Wednesday, July 5, and Wednesday, July 26; flatwater standup paddling on Wednesday, July 19, and whitewater rafting on Wednesday, July 12. Recreation and Well-Being OAP Summer Trips July

Get outdoors this summer with RecWell’s Outdoor Adventure Program. Activities are open to VCU students and RecWell Members. Trip dates (registration deadlines) are: day caving, Saturday, July 8 (7/3); False Cape day hike Saturday, July 15 (7/10); and backpacking weekend Saturday-Sunday, July 22-23 (7/17).

Mindful Moms Program for Pregnancy

VCU School of Nursing's Mindful Moms Program welcomes those who are 12-26 weeks pregnant to join the school's free prenatal yoga or education classes during their pregnancy. Mindful Moms is an NIH-funded study seeking to understand how to best enhance mental health and well-being during pregnancy. The school welcomes those who are feeling stressed, anxious or depressed.
