Parking Deck Subscribers To Relocate During Graduations
Upcoming high school graduations will create interruptions to parking. Today (June 7), June 8 and June 9 all West Broad Street Deck subscribers will relocate to the West Cary Street Deck, 1101 W. Cary St.; Jefferson Street Deck, 100 S. Jefferson St.; or West Main Street Deck, 801 W. Main St.
A dedicated shuttle service will be provided by Parking and Transportation June 7-9 to transport subscribers to and from the West Cary Street and Jefferson Street decks. RamSafe shuttles will run continuously to and from the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck, Harrison and Franklin Streets, Franklin and Laurel Streets, and Shafer and Franklin Streets from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. VCU parking subscribers who need transportation between the hours of 6:31 p.m. and 6:29 a.m., can place a ride request at https://parking.vcu.edu/transportation/ramsafe/ using the Ride Pingo app.
Reciprocal parking will not be permitted on the West Broad Street Deck June 7-9. MCV Campus subscribers may park on the West Cary Street Deck, Jefferson Street Deck or West Main Street Deck.

'Hepatobility Development and Disease,' Presented by Takanori Takebe, M.D., Ph.D.
5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The Stravitz-Sanyal Institute for Liver Disease and Metabolic Health will present a talk by Takanori Takebe, M.D., Ph.D., the endowed chair of organoid medicine and director of commercial innovation for Center for Stem Cell and Organoid Medicine at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and a professor at Osaka University and Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Takebe seeks to develop and apply novel approaches and tools to recapitulate, probe and manipulate human liver development and to understand the personalized molecular mechanisms that lead to disease. The event will be at the McGlothlin Medical Education Center, The Learning Theater, 1201 E. Marshall St. For those who cannot attend in person, the event will be streamed. Film Screening and Discussion Brown Bag: 'The Central Lunatic Asylum for the Colored Insane'

This documentary illuminates the early history of mental health treatment for African Americans with a focus on the immediate aftermath of the Civil War and Emancipation, from 1865 to the early 1900s. Shawn Utsey, Ph.D., VCU Sociology, will discuss his film and research. Dessert and drinks will be provided. The event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by VCU Libraries.

Avaya Workplace and MyE911 Apps

The Avaya Workplace app allows customers to extend their office number to their remote work site and is ideal for remote workers. Callers can reach remote workers on any device by calling their work telephone number, and when placing a call the caller party will see their work number and not their mobile number.
