Notices
Do You Have an MCV Tunnel Story To Share?
A network of tunnels connecting the State Capitol to the Executive Mansion, other state buildings and VCU Medical Center (then Medical College of Virginia) buildings was built from 1913-1940. The tunnels were constructed primarily to house steam pipes and electrical wiring but came to be used as walkways by many, including MCV students, doctors and nurses. The tunnels are now closed to the public. VCU's School of Nursing invites members of the university community to share memories for possible inclusion in a future story.
