Recreation and Well-Being First Aid, CPR and AED Training - Blended Learning
Saturday, Jul. 22, 2023 at 9 a.m.
RecWell will offer the American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course, which prepares participants to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies. This course meets OSHA requirements for workplace CPR/AED and first aid training. Successful completion of this course provides participants with a certificate valid for two years. The class will be taught at the Cary Street Gym, 101 S. Linden St. Register at the following URL by Friday, July 14.

Advanced School-Based Play Therapy

VCU Continuing and Professional Education (APT Approved Provider 15-397) will present its workshop Advanced School-Based Play Therapy (16 contact hours) on Friday and Saturday, July 28 and 29, from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. at ChildSavers, 200 N. 22nd St. The workshop is part of a series of noncredit workshops for licensed mental health professionals seeking the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or School-Based Registered Play Therapist (SB-RPT) credential. SHRM Exam Prep

VCU's Center for Corporate Education will present Society for Human Resource Management exam prep. Prepare for SHRM-CP or SHRM-CSP exam via Zoom with a practicing HR leader and SHRM-certified instructor. The course will be held on Tuesdays, Aug. 29-Dec. 5 from 5:45–8:30 p.m. Note: Sept. 5 and Oct. 31 are asynchronous and there will be no class on Nov. 21. Storytelling: An Act of Memory, Imagination and Vision

Mindful Moms Program for Pregnancy
VCU School of Nursing's Mindful Moms Program welcomes those who are 12-26 weeks pregnant to join the school's free prenatal yoga or education classes during their pregnancy. Mindful Moms is an NIH-funded study seeking to understand how to best enhance mental health and well-being during pregnancy. The school welcomes those who are feeling stressed, anxious or depressed. Move-In Volunteers Needed
