Abstract Submission Extension for VCU School of Medicine ACCESS Symposium
Saturday, Sep. 9, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The theme of the fourth annual VCU ACCESS Symposium is Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Global Era. Highlights will include keynote speakers from around the globe, poster presentations and critical care workshops. The session will be geared for nursing, dental, physical therapy and medical students, physicians and members of the public. The deadline for submitting an abstract has been extended to Monday, Aug. 7. The event will be at the McGlothlin Medical Education Center, 1201 E. Marshall St. Register at the following URL.

Join a VCU Choir
VCU chorus auditions will be held Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 2-4:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Aug. 23, from noon–2:40 p.m. in the Recital Hall, James W. Move-In Volunteers Needed

VCU Institute for Drug and Alcohol Research Seeking Non-drug Using Participants and Active Users
If you frequently use opioids or cocaine or do not use drugs, you may be able to participate in a research study. The goal of the study is to test an assessment battery that could be used to personalize treatment for people who use substances. Are You the Parent or Guardian of a Teen? VCU Study on Teen Decision-Making
Teens between the ages of 14 to 17 are invited to participate in a study on risky decision making. The study involves two online surveys about nine months apart, each completed remotely at the teen's convenience. Teen participants are compensated for both surveys. The principal investigator is Hayley Cleary, Ph.D., VCU Department of Criminal Justice.
