The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), will conduct nationwide tests of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA). Both tests are scheduled to begin at approximately 2:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The WEA test will be directed to all cellphones. The EAS test will be sent to radios and televisions. Testing ensures that systems are an effective means of warning the public about nationwide emergencies.

RecWell’s Women+ on Weights for Weights Fall Session Two is open to women and individuals who are non-binary and/or gender non-conforming who are looking to learn foundational methods of resistance training and workout design. A certified personal trainer will help with the use of strength machines, resistance bands, cable stacks and free weights to build skill and knowledge of proper technique and progressions, as well as confidence in the weight room.
